Hi All!
I finally have some time to sit and post. Everyone has gone skiing in the FREEZING COLD!!!! and I am having some me time. I’ve got my cup of cocoa
It snowed all night and the moon was hanging outside my window this morning just sitting in the sun while the sun reflected orange off the city centre miles away from me. It was a spectacular sight but too cold for me to venture out to take a snapshot
I never got around to telling you of a few of the things I got for Christmas.
I got a new computer chair, (now my butt doesn’t ache or my back. Ahh! ), an external usb hub, 100 cd discs and covers, Scrapbook Plus from Ideasoft, Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Designer, CK Media’s Simple Scrapbooks Magazine, a pair of pink sudoku pj’s with slippers and a game book , hand cream and bath beads, a set of dish towels , cloths, & mitts, tickets to the movies, socks and other doodads.
I wore the pjs the first night, they were so soft and warm. Haven’t decided which movie to go see as we don’t usually go to the movies, the movies come to us
I may just trade them off to the kids ![]()
I’ve never used scrapbooking software before so I just had to install them to check them out. Eh, it’s not me. I kind of go for of a more real look then clipart type stuff but the girls have been playing with them and like them so I’ll keep them around for them. (the girls gave them to me for xmas hehehe).
The magazine was interesting. It’s my first scrapbook mag. It has some neat ideas and offers out some very familiar web links of which I was quite pleased to see some familar names. I went to visit a few sites with the girls and they seen one design they liked. I can’t recall who or where at the moment but the girls and I did a sort of rendition of the idea during the xmas holiday. DH took the pic one morning.

The original was a card based on how to use buttons, if I recall correctly. I thought it came out pretty neat
thanks to whoever it was for the idea.
It was a greatful Christmas and we all had a blast!
So I was hopping quickly around the web this morning and noticed that, like in the mag, quite a few scrapbookers have jumped on the Photojojo’s 365 Project. Whew! Good Luck! I tried that one year, years ago and found I just couldn’t take a picture every day. I was able to take at least one picture per week thou so that is how I have been scrapping my annuals.
The color for 2009 is Mimosa and I usually create my cover and back of my annuals with the color of the year. This year I went for a rather simple design.

I am slowly working on a 3d scrapping image, one that kind of comes out at you. It’s an old idea that I just had to try with this image. It’s not finished yet.
The anchor, bulrush & fish I think are from the WaterLo Project. My neice just adores their site as they offer out real large images to create with. Thank you WLP!

The box was created using Alien Skin’s Eye Candy 5’s Extrude plugin and the water flow was created using Flaming Pear’s Flood plugin. I then modified the flood effect to remove the black spots, leaving a nice clean flowing water front. There are few few things off, you may have noticed, which will be fixed before the original is complete. Eventually it will be framed and put above DH’s desk.
Due to the fact that we are in an employment recession here in Canada, like the USA, I’ve been working ALOT, so it’s been really swell for me to sit down and chat it up today. Thanks for reading. I don’t know when I’ll be able to do this again so…until then…keep on rockin’ in the free world…(neil young)
