Have you deleted your account over at Facebook yet? Watch out!
I have a friend who joined Facebook way back in August 2007 so she could connect with her son, family and friends.
One of the glitches she noticed right off was that several accounts in one household on indvidual computers do not see each other when they are all on Facebook. Her family uses a 4 system hub and not a router.
Another glich that was evident was in the ‘truth of information’. She related how she had added an old friend in Barrie who claimed they were from Brazil then later changed it to Germany.
Over time other quirks arose. You may recall the ‘Mighty Beacon’, and the other hoohay the tech world was passing around. She decided to delete her account.
She forgot to delete her images and has no idea what became of them. Either way she believed she no longer had an account on Facebook.
In Feb 2008 her husband, a member of Facebook, went to his Facebook page and discovered someone had ’stolen his wife’s identity’. Somehow, and without his authorization, this person appeared in his wife’s place, on his profile and friends pages. And her hubby appeared on this other persons pages. They don’t know the person at all.
This morning she told me all this and we took pictures.
This is the guy who ’stole the identity. Nothing before Feb 8th 2008.

And this is a picture of the same guy on her hubby’s facebook profile page.

What gliche caused this to occur over at Facebook in the first place is beyond me. I know little about that type of stuff but it is something that should be looked into don’t you think?
A good place to start maybe be on how Facebook handles deleted accounts and how same name users just dont pop into places without invitations in cases where an account has been deleted, if that be the case here.
I wonder how many other deleted accounts have had someone else pop up in their place like this?
